Get ready for a 'Summer of Sport' with Teach Active!

As we enter the final half term and an exciting summer of sport approaches, we at Teach Active are thrilled to bring you an exciting lineup of sports-themed Maths and English activities designed to keep your class active, engaged, and inspired! This half term, we're celebrating a 'Summer of Sport' with a series of fun Seasonal Activities that will get everyone moving, cheering and learning.

Join in the excitement of the European Football Championship! With 20 questions involving Maths and English skills available, our Euro 2024 Quest activities are designed to be used as part of a scavenger hunt type activity – meaning you simply print them off and put them around the chosen area (class, corridors, hall, outside). The Children then visit each question and record their answer on a piece of paper/book.

A staple of the British Summer the annual Wimbledon tennis championship is coming up! Our Times Tables Tennis activity will get children moving and swinging their arms as if they are playing tennis. This game can be played in pairs and can be played anywhere – each year group has different number or counting rules for the children to choose from.

It’s the Olympics in Paris this summer, from 26 July 2024 – 11 August 2024. We’ve come up with a page of suggested fun activities for children to complete at home whilst the event is going on. Why not treat it as a challenge and see how many activities they can do before the end of the Olympics?
