Teach Active Seasonal Activities

It has been so great to see so many schools using Teach Active since the start of the school year – complementing their maths and English lessons with active learning activities designed to support children in learning, retaining and recalling key skills taught.

Away from the curriculum, we are this week proud to launch the beginning of our ‘Teach Active Seasonal Activities’

We begin with the men’s 2022 Football World Cup. Our team have designed a ‘Scavenger Hunt’ activity for every year group, containing 20 questions and problems (involving maths and English skills) and using the World Cup as a theme to engage the children.

As always, saving teachers time is at the forefront of our minds. All teachers will have to do is print out the 20 question cards, spread them around the chosen area (class / hall /school / outside) and then explain the activity to the children.

All questions are in line with age related expectations – great for mixed ability work. However, as there is a Scavenger Hunt for every year group – you can always dip down a year should you feel some of your children may need this to ensure confidence and success.

Following on from the World Cup we will be then writing Christmas Seasonal Activities – ad then will also begin to plan activities for 2023. Any you’d like to see in particular? Do get in touch 😊

Teach Active Seasonal Activities are available from your teacher dashboard – so simply log-in and access.

Our resource development team who write these activities love to see them in action and see the children enjoying the activities – so please remember to share on social media and let us know how you get on!
