As we approach the end of the academic year, we're looking back on some of the major events and achievements from the last 12 months. First though, a huge thank you to all the teachers, schools, tutors, students, and everyone else who continues to support Teach Active.
This year we have had a record number of active users on Teach Active allowing active learning to impact more children than ever!
September - December
Loughborough University
We continued to work in partnership with Loughborough University, Professor Lauren Sherar, and schools across the UK, it is great to see the difference Teach Active is having. We even created an awesome animation video to show case the incredible benefits of Teach Active!
Seasonal Activities
September also saw the launch of our 2023 - 24 Seasonal Activities covering the Rugby World Cup, Christmas, World Book Day and the Euros. We've loved seeing the incredible responses to these activities especially those shared on social media and more planned for the new academic year!
January - March
Our AI Lesson Assistant launches
We launched our brand new AI Lesson Assistant to bring a new level of ease to the Teach Active dashboard. Whatever you ask, our AI assistant will search through all the lesson plans, and suggest the best one for you! Clever hey! You can even ask it for an Intervention programme for a particular year group.
We are extremely proud of the amazing team who have worked hard to put this together – and how this can now support our schools.
Teach Active hits the road!
Teach Active tutors have been on the move, attending conferences, headteacher meetings, delivering training sessions, and hosting workshops. We've loved connecting with educators, sharing our passion for active learning, and seeing the excitement it brings to classrooms. As we head into the new academic year, we’re thrilled to continue this journey, bringing fun active learning to even more schools!
April - July
Primary Quiz launches in partnership with Teach Active
We continued to work in partnership with Loughborough University Professor Lauren Sherar, and schools across the UK, it is great to see the difference Teach Active is having. The latest research carried out by Loughborough University showed that schools that used Teach Active enjoy a 33% more active school day, significantly happier and better attaining children!
As you know, at Teach Active we are all about ‘active learning’ – and this year we spread that a little further after looking at the research between 'Active Bodies' and 'Active Brains'.
We all know how important it is to keep the brain active, and how ‘brain training’ type activities can benefit children’s learning. With this in mind, we worked with Educational Consultant and ex Primary Headteacher Conal Holmes to develop our new brain training resource ‘Primary Quiz’.
Next year
We have so many exciting resources, products, events and CPD planned so stay tuned for our September emails!
Have a brilliant Summer break and we'll see you in the new year!
